"Special to the Banner, Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., Sept. 29 (1916)" - Carson T. Orr, aged 71, an ex-Confederate soldier, member of Company E., 11th Tenn. Cavalry, with Gen. Forrest, died at his home here Wed. night after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Orr was reared near Lynnville, but moved to Mt. Pleasant several years ago, where he and two sons have engaged in business. He is survived by his wife and the following children, all of whom are grown: Wm. H. Orr and R. L. Orr of Mt. Pleasant; B. B. Orr, V. B. Orr and J. D. Orr of Birmingham; S. P. Orr, Russellville, Ala.; Mrs. R. M. Webb, Ensley, Ala.; Mrs. Annie Landford, Econ, Ala., and Mrs. Willie Buchanan, Bardsto, Tex. His son, W. H. Orr, is the local agent for the Banner."
