Services for Margaret H. Mans, 68, 164 Swiss St., Mankato, who died at her home, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church, the Rev. Fr. Charles Kerr S.J. Officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Landkamer's Funeral Home in Mankato. There will be a rosary service at 8 p.m. Memorials are preferred to the Renal Dialysis Center of Immanuel - St. John's Hospital. Mrs. Mans was born August 15, 1917 in Kasota to Henry and Marie (Shaus) Klaseus. She attended school in Kasota and married Walter Mans on June 2, 1938 at SS. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and attended Nursing School there. She then nursed at St. Joseph's and later Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement in June of 1977. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul's Catholic Church and the Catholic Aid Association from which she received a 50-year plaque for her loyalty and service. She was also a member of Degree of Honor. She is survived by three sons: twins Richard H. of Fairborn, OH and Robert L. of Middleburg, FL, and Jerry of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Rita (Mrs. Lee Clifton) of Darien, IL; nine grandchildren; a brother, Matt Klaseus of New Hope; and three sisters: Lorraine Johnston of Mankato, Mary (Mrs. Bernie) Paul of Weslaco, TX and Adeline (Mrs. Norm) Johnson of Kasota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter in February of 1984, two brothers and a sister.
Margaret is my 2nd cousin twice removed.
