He was born May 11, 1948 in Winters. He grew up in Winters and graduated from Winters High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a carpenter in the Winters area for many years.
He is survived by: his daughter, Angela Coleman of Kyle; step-son, Dale Gray; 3 brothers: Edward (Eddie) Coleman of Brownwood, Bill Coleman of Abilene, and Johnny Davis of Dallas; and his grandson Christopher Braxton of Kyle.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Jordan Hubbard officiating. Burial was in Northview Cemetery
