Col. Guy R. Aycock, Jr. passed away on May 21, 2012 at the age of 85 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Col. Aycock, born in Chattanooga, TN was a veteran, serving 37 years in the Army and Army Reserves.

He also worked with AT&T for 37 years retiring as a communications engineer.

Col. Aycock was married to Barbara Joan Pearce of Chattanooga and had two children Bridget Aycock Farner and Guy R. Aycock III (Trey).

He later married Helen Joy Jarnagin of Chattanooga and was blessed with two more children Norma A Carter (Harold) and Jerry L. Aycock (Terri).

After the death of his wife Helen he was united in marriage to Barbara Connors in 2007 until the present.

Col. Aycock was also blessed with three granddaughters, Casi Farner White (James), Ashley K. Williams, and Danielle M. Aycock. Great grandchildren include Cole and Carson White and Tanner and Mason Williams.

A graveside Military Service will be held at a later date.
