Amos Franklin Stotts
Graveside services for Amos Franklin Stotts, 86, of Sulphur will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, with family members officiating. He died Feb. 23, 2003 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Sulphur.
Stotts was born May 13, 1916 in Alva to John Dolphus and Maud Anna (May) Marlin. He married Marvina West on Jan 18, 1960 in Oklahoma City, and she preceded him in death Nov 11, 2000. He served in the Army in the Burma, Southeast Asia and other theaters during World War II. He attained a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Oklahoma in 1964. Stotts retired from Tinker Air Force Base in logistics command. He also was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Margaret Duer, and a brother, J.D. Stotts.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Von Senden of St. Louis, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Janie Howell of Madill, a stepson, Don Yarbrough of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
