He was born in Headlee Aug. 25,
1906, to Harvey E. and Martha
Stillwell Rodgers.
He retired in 1975 after 50 years
of service working on the Ohio and
Mississippi rivers. Dredge captain
of the dredge "America," he was a
member of the International Union
of Operating Engineers.
Surviving are a daughter, Helen
Howell, Logansport; a brother,
Cleo Rodgers of Delphi; two
grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; and four great-
great-grandchildren. A son, two
sisters and seven brothers
preceded in death.
Services were held Friday in
Royal Center with burial in Pro
Cemetery, Headlee.
