Lena Baloh, 92, of Frontenac, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 18, 1919 at Pittsburg, Kansas to John Wesley and Leona May (West) Buffington. She married Sam Baloh. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1985. Mrs. Baloh was a waitress at Harry's Café for many years. Survivors include a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Roy Atkinson, Lester Buffington, Cecil Buffington, Charles Buffington, and Robert Buffington; and three sisters, Ruby Lucille Buffington, Geneva Mason, and Helen Louise "Pat" Aikman. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012, at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Frontenac. Burial will follow the services. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials be given to the Sunset Manor Activity Fund. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Friends may also leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
