A. Marie Garber, 93, formerly of New Paris, died Friday, April 23, at Heartland of Eaton. Born Oct. 3, 1905, in Preble County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillie (Fudge) Miller, and had lived in the county most of her life. She was a member of Eldorado United Methodist Church for many years.
Mrs. Garber was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight L. Garber, on Sept. 9, 1990; a son, Norman Garber; four grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Russell Miller.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Shyrigh of New Lebanon; a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Janice Garber of Farmersville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Garber of Cincinnati.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 27, with the Rev. Walter M. O'Dell officiating. Burial was in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris.
