Loving son of William and Lurana Bonner Cureton, brother of James, John, Luraney, Robert and Martha (Farr) Cureton.

In thee 1860 census, now in the Pleasant Hill area of Talbot County, he is listed as being a 21 year old farmer and still living with his mother Lurana along with his siblings, Lurana and Robert. The rest having left home by this time.

In 1870. still in the Pleasant Hill area he is listed as continuing to farm at the age of a 32. At the time he is living with his mother, Lurana, now 58 and his sisters, Laurana Cureton 26, and Martha Cureton Farr, 29 along with Martha's daughter Mary Farr, aged 10. Inscription

True in every relation, to humanity kind, True to himself, yet unselfishly true. True to religion, which is divine, Setting a true example for me and you. Although he sleepeth, his memory doth live, And cheering comfort to his mourners give. He followed virtue as his truest guide, Lived as a Christian, as a Christian died.
