Dudley C. Dennison, 66, retired carpenter and contractor, died last night at his home 1503 Long Avenue, following an extended illness. The body was at Johnson & Charlton Co funeral home last night where funeral arrangements were incomplete.
A native of Davidson county, Mr Dennison was the son of the late Joe Dennison and Victoria Dennison. He farmed for a number of years in Davidson county and later was engaged in carpentry and private contracting. He was married in 1908 to the former Miss Nannie May Adams of Nashville who survives. He retired from business in 1942 due to ill health.
Other survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Howard Lee of Hendersonville, Tenn, Mrs J.R. Lewis of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs Walter Lundelius of Miami, Fla., and Mrs.J.A. Moore. Nashville, two sons: Gordon W and Thomas Dennison, both of Nashville. seven grandchildren.
