Services for Jeffrey Scott Grett of Grand Junction, who was killed about 10:43am Sunday, when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck at South Seventh and Ute, Grand Junction, were conducted by the Rev Russell B Bryant of the Olathe Methodist Church Wednesday at 11 am from the First United Methodist Church of Grand Junction.
Graveside services were scheduled for 2pm in the Olathe Cemetery under direction of Callahan Edfast Mortuary of Grand Junction. The family has suggested that the memorial contributions be made to the Grand Valley Boys Club, Box 2302, Grand Junction, of which he was a member.
Jeffrey Scott Grett was born Nov 23 1960 at Delta and lived at Olathe until two years ago when he moved to Grand Junction. He was a fifth grade student at Emerson School, was active in 4-H and interested in athletics.
Surviving are his father, Jesse Boyd Grett, Olathe; his mother, Mrs Emmett (Bertha) Collins, Grand Junction; grandparents Mr and Mrs Jim Grett, Olathe; and Mr and Mrs B Williams, Lawton, Okla; one brother, Mike Grett, a sister, Mitzi Grett, and a half brother Timmy Grett, all of Grand Junction; a sister Ginger Grett, a step sister, Keli Grett, and a step brother Tommy Grett all of Olathe.
