Eloise passed away at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Pointe Parkway.
She grew up in College Station where her father was a physics instructor at Texas A&M University.
Eloise graduated from Texas Women's University with degrees in Bacteriology and Medical Technology. She worked in the University Hospital at Texas A&M where she met her first husband, Lee Roy Thompson. She also taught in the Biology Department at A&M after World War II.
She began her high school teaching career at Yoe High School in Cameron, Texas. She continued teaching at the high school level after moving to Sour Lake in 1956. In 1978 she retired from Hardin-Jefferson School District to become a full-time minister's wife to her second husband, Glenn A. Dromgoole.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee Roy Thompson and Glenn Dromgoole; grandson, Brett Johnson; granddaughter, Janet Dromgoole; and her parents, Myrtle and E.E. Vezey.
Left to cherish her memory and celebrate Eloise's life are her children, Kenneth Thompson and his wife Dee, Lou Ann Johnson and her husband Ronald, Glenn Dromgoole and his wife Carol and Charlie Dromgoole and his wife Marilyn; grandchildren, Jennifer LeBow, Brian Johnson, Lisa Sledge, Laurie Moreland and Lindsay Sheppard; great grandchildren, Drew LeBow, Maridee LeBow, Beri LeBow, Traeger Johnson, Colson Sledge, Georgia Sledge, Juliet Sledge and Meredith Moreland; and her siblings, E.E. Vezey, Jr., Stanley A. Vezey and his wife Eleanor and Betty Nedderman and her husband Wendell.
