Mrs. Ida A. Ball

the death of Ida Alzina Collar, widow of Charles Ball occurred at her home at New Lisbon, Friday night at 10:35. She had been in declining health for the past year but her final illness was of only a few days' duration. Death was from kidney trouble and complications. The deceased was born in the town of morris, February 3d, 1870. Her parents were Duane and Martha Edgett Collar. On March 2nd, 1888, she was united in marriage to Charles Ball of Pittsfield where they lived until moving to New Lisbon nearly thirty-five years ago, where they have since resided. Mr. Ball passed away two years ago. She was a member of the Laurens Grange and Zion Episcopal church at Morris. Her survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Cook of Laurens, Mrs. Cecila Peet, Morris, Mrs. Elsie Cook, residing at home. Miss Bernice Ball of Oneonta and mrs. Ceylon Toombs of New Lisbon, five granddaughters and one great granddaughter. The funeral which was held at her late home, Monday afternoon was very largely attended. The Rev. C. E. Vermilya, pastor of the M. E. church at Morris officiated with the Rev. Denny of Morris assisting. Interment was beside her husband in Hillington cemetery. The bearers were six neighbors, Glenn Morse, Eber Hinman, LeRoy George, George Crandall, Frank Stafford and Roy Gilbert.
