Virginia Lewis Hicks, 90, passed away on March 29th, 2011 following a brief illness.

Born October 10, 1920, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert, daughters Wendy Cislo of Jensen Beach, FL and Nancy Mitchell and her husband Chuck of Harmony, FL.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Cislo and Robert Cislo, his wife Ellen and great-grandson Jack, two brothers, Richard and Howard Lewis and many Lewis family members.

Virginia (Ginny) was blessed to have a rich and full life.

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio to Herman and Georgia Lewis, Ginny was the only girl of six children.

She later moved to the Chicago area where she met her future husband, Bob who was serving in the U.S Navy during WW II.

They married and later moved their family to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Ginny enjoyed the Hospitality industry as Reservations Manager for the VI Hilton, Resident Manager of the Water Isle Colony Club, Sales Manager of Bluebeards Castle and Store Manager of the Continental Gift Shop. She had a true love for the islands, its people and lifestyle.

Bob and Ginny returned stateside to the South Florida Area where she worked at Williams-Sonoma until her retirement in 1999.

They moved to Jensen Beach and then later to Palm Bay, FL.

Ginny had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit. She loved entertaining, cooking, gardening, raising orchids and traveling. Her smile lit up a room and her caring nature was felt by anyone who met her. She touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.

Another angel sits in heaven now and is smiling upon us. Thank you Ginny, for filling our hearts with your love and grace. You will always be part of us.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 2:00pm at All Saints Episcopal Church in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Due to the season of lent, in lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made, in her name, to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
