Services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, from St. Joseph's Church in Green Bay, for August Burlo, 80, who died at a hospital in that city Wednesday. Mr. Burlo was remarkable active until the time of his illness about three weeks ago. Burial was at Fort Howard.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Anton Burlo in 1871 in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Burlo came to America with his parents in 1880, and they settled at Egg Harbor after two years at Gladstone, Mich. He and Marceline Gerad were married at Jacksonport, Sept. 13, 1892. They moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1913 and in 1930 went to Green Bay. Mrs. Burlo died in 1946.
Mr. Burlo was a member of Oneida Lodge No. 779 of the Car Repairmen's Union.
All of the children were present at the funeral. They are Mrs. Clarence (Elizabeth) Simon, Sturgeon Bay; Fred W., Charles H. and William, Chicago; Edward and Mary Bonville, Green Bay and Clarence, Bessemer, Mich.
Other survivors are two brothers, Medos and Dennis of Green Bay, and four sisters, Elizabeth, now Sister Immaculate Heart of Magdalen, Mrs. Alec Charles, Fairland; Mrs. Pat Brassard, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Mrs. Manda Levine, Montreal, Canada. As well as 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
