HAGERSTOWN,MARYLAND -William Sweet, 67, of 191 Sunbrook Lane, Hagerstown, and formerly of Montgomery Village, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 21, 1934, in New York City, he was the son of the late Cora Shuler Robinson.
He was employed by U.S. Airways since 1985.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara A. Sweet; two daughters, Jeanette S. Copeland of Washington, D.C., and Monica D. Sweet of Montgomery Village; three sisters, Mary Archibald and Bernice Rivers, both of New York City, and Daisy Youngblood of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Michael J. Jendrek will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Cumberland, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
