Jim Paradise was a family man, father of two, and a park ranger for Orange County Parks & Recreation for 28 years. He felt strongly about the park system and environment issues. He was a warm person and a wonderful friend. He smiled readily, joked often and could always be relied upon to raise your spirits. Even if you hadn't seen him for years, you felt as if you'd never been apart. He is deeply missed by his family and many friends. He fully realized the true value of life.

Quote - On the death of a friend, we should consider that the fates through confidence have devolved on us the task of a double living, that we have henceforth to fulfill the promise of our friend's life also, in our own, to the world. - Henry David Thoreau
