New York, USA
Edward J. Walker passed away quietly & peacefully on the morning of August 27, 2006 after a difficult 1 year battle with cancer.
Edward was born March 2, 1929 in New Bedford, MA to Edward & Adeline (Madieros) Walker.
He was a car salesman for 20 years at New Rochelle Oldsmobile & for 25 years at Mayer Volvo of Westchester, where he received numerous sales awards. Ed (as everyone knew him) was a huge baseball & football fan, his favorite teams being the NY Yankees (although I think he secretly also rooted for the NY Mets, as long as they weren't playing the Yankees) & the NY Giants. He loved getting away to the small family summer cottage he & his wife owned in south-eastern MA near the water.
He leaves behind, in body only but not in spirit, his wife of over 50 years, Rosalie; a daughter, Linda; a son Edward P. ("Skip"); & a half-brother, John. He is also the proud grandfather of Naomi & Samuel.
Ed was a true gentleman, who had a big heart. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.
