Anthony was born in Milford, Michigan, the beloved son of Nevada (Breniser) and Anthony Verrino. He was born with a rare genetic condition. The process of his death, dying and grieving was presented in a PBS Frontline documentary called "The Undertaking", and was aired on October 30, 2007. His mother, Nevada Verrino, said she and her husband decided sharing their story was a way for them to honor their beloved son, who died from cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome. CFC is a painful condition characterized by a variety of defects and abnormalities. Anthony was unable to sit up, crawl, see, hear or speak. "We thought it may be our chance to share this amazing little boy with the world," she said. "I sound like a total mom saying my child was amazing, but he really was... And we are glad to have this as a record of our son and everything he went through. We will cherish it, for sure." To view the reading of his eulogy by his mother, click here.
