Sterling Alexander, 56, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Quincy, died Thursday (July 4, 1968) at 2:30 a.m. in the Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. He had been ill over a year.
Mr. Alexander was born in Quincy Dec. 26, 1912, a son of Oscar and Emma Stewart Alexander. He was married to Marianne Dieker of Quincy July 6, 1940.
Before moving to Chicago in 1940, Mr. Alexander was employed by Gardner-Denver Co.
Surviving are the widow; his parents, who live at 614 South Fourteenth and three sons, Michael, Patrick and Gregory Sterling. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be held Monday at Arlington Heights.
