Samuel Trauger died at his Trenton home from cancer at the age of 79.
He was a veteran of Civil War, having served with distinction in Company F, Fifth Regiment, New Jersey Volunteers.
He was also a pensioner of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He had previously lived in Lambertville.
He was survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. Annie Thorne and George and Charles Trauger, all of Trenton. One brother, George W. Trauger, and one sister, Mrs. D. S. Williams, of Lambertville, also survived him.
His obituary was published in the Lambertvile Beacon on September 17, 1914.
