Jody "D.J." Gust McCoy,age 44, left this world on Tuesday October 31, 2006, following a tragic automobile accident. Jody was born May 13, 1962 in Wayne County Michigan. He is the son of Marena Billas McCoy, who lives at Robinson Creek, Kentucky and the late Richard Vernon McCoy.
Mr. McCoy was a rock truck driver for Trinity Coal Company and a Church Of Christ Member. He Graduated from Elkhorn City High School with Honors in 1980. He was elected to the Pike County School Board's Hall of Fame for being a top disc jocky in the state at an early age.
Jody Married Sandra Louise Coleman August 10, 1988.
Including his mother,Marena, Jody is also survived by his wife, Sandra Louise Coleman McCoy, their two boys, Travis Martin McCoy, and Matthew Donovan McCoy, both still living at home, and his brother James McCoy and his wife Kim who live at Indian Creek, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home begining at 1:00 P.M. Friday with the Memorial Funeral Service Begining at 3:00 P.M. with Keith Blackburn officiating.
