Mrs. Charlotte Ecke, an old settler of the city, died early this morning at her home, 171 Twelfth street after a brief illness. About a week ago she was taken ill with heart trouble and bronchitis, which caused her death. Mrs. Ecke was born in Lagenhagen, Germany, and was fifty-seven years old. She was the wife of Gottlieb Ecke, who died about twenty-two years ago and who built the Kuenzl brewery.
She has resided In Oshkosh for nearly forty years, and leaves three daughters and one son, as follows: Mrs. Charles G. Bauman, Hulda and Clara Ecke of this city, and Otto Ecke of Negaunee, Mich.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon.
