Death: Mar. 13, 2009

Canadian Professional Wrestler. While working as a bouncer in a Toronto bar, in the late 1990s he met Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Bret offered to train him to become a wrestler. Two weeks later he left his job and went on to train for eight months under the direction of Bret Hart and Leo Burke. Making his professional debut in 1997 in the Canadian Independent Circuit, Andrew used the names "Martin Kane" and "T.J. Thunder. He underwent more training with Dory Funk Jr. He made his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) debut on October 25, 1998 on "Sunday Night Heat," portraying a mysterious unknown bodyguard for the rock group "Motley Crue." In a story line event, he threw an obsessive fan off the platform while the band was rehearsing. On December 14, 1998, he adopted the ring name "Test," when he joined "The Rock" and numerous other WWF Superstars in a group known as "The Corporation." In 2005 he had his name legally changed to Andrew Test Martin. He left "The Corporation" and joined "The Union" with Big Show, Mankind and Ken Shamrock. They feuded with the Corporation for a short time before fading away. Then Andrew started a scripted relationship with Stephanie McMahon, which led to a storyline engagement. However the wedding never took place, because wrestler Triple H interrupted the ceremony by proclaiming he and Stephanie were already married. Stephanie and Triple H did actually get married a few years later. Andrew then went on to form the tag team of T and A with Albert (Matt Bloom); they were managed by (future seven time Woman's Champion) Tris Stratus. The team broke up after Albert turned on Test, on the orders of Stephanie McMahon. In October 2000 Stacy Kiebler became his on-screen as well as off-screen girlfriend. He then formed a tag team with Scott Steiner. They had several Tag title matches but never managed to get the gold. Steiner and Test were "fired" by Acting General Manager (GM) Mick Foley, they were later rehired by GM Eric Bishoff, but shortly afterwards, they parted ways. Andrew had a short-lived feud with Stevie Richards, after kicking Richards on-screen girlfriend Victoria in the face. This feud led to several matches on "Sunday Night Heat", with Richards being victorious in all of them. In July of 2004, Andrew underwent "spinal fusion" surgery to repair an injured neck; four months later, he was released from the WWF, even though he had been assured his job was safe. On May 22, 2006, he returned to the WWF, which name had been changed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In 2007 he was once again released from WWE. Andrew made his debut in the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) on August 2, 2007, as a "baby face" (i.e. good guy) teaming up with Sting (Steve Bordon) and Abyss (Chris Parks) by aiding them in the defeat of A.J. Styles (Allen Jones) and Christian (Jason Reso) in a ladder match. Andrew did a few shows for TNA but was never under contract. On December 19, 2007, he announced his retirement. On March 10, 2009 he left a comment on a friend's website that he had just returned from a visit to Japan. Three days later, on March 13, 2009 Andrew Test Martin was found dead in his home in Tampa, Florida. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Test was 33 years old, just four days short of his 34th Birthday. Titles held by Test include Wild West Wrestling Heavyweight Champion (1 time); World Wrestling Federation Tag Champion (1 time) with Booker T; WWF Intercontinental Champion (1 time), WWF Hardcore Champion (2 times), WWF European Champion (1 time), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Tag Champion (1 time) with Booker T. (bio by: Hilda Duell)

Gone too soon, it's just so sad. You're flying high now and I truly hope that you are at peace. There isn't a day (or even a moment) that goes by that you are not missed or thought of dearly. RIP..
