"MRS. FOUNTAIN DEAD"
"Mrs. Mary E. Ryan, wife of Jules Fountain, well known in the eastern section of Biloxi and a resident of Biloxi for twenty years, died at her home in this city yesterday afternoon at 6:15 o'clock. Deceased leaves besides her husband a number of relatives. The funeral was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Fountain home, 410 East Howard avenue. Services were conducted in the Church of the Nativity with interment in the Biloxi cemetery".
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 10, pg 238: Mary died 1 day after giving birth to a stillborn baby boy. Her parents were Philip J. Ryan of Ireland and Amelia Rosale Dennis of New Orleans. Records list cause of death as "acute nephritis".
