Birth: Apr. 23, 1834
New York, USA
Death: Jul. 5, 1876
Jones County
Iowa, USA

James I. Alger died in Jones Co, Iowa, July 5th, 1876, aged 42 years 3
months and 2 days. Brother Alger suffered a long time, having contracted
the disease which terminated his life in the army of the rebellion. But
he seemed to bear it with Christian resignation and patience. A few days
before his death he told us he had given all to the Lord. He was a member
of the United Bretheren Church nearly twenty years. He has gone home we
trust, to rest with the Savior."
