The William Erwin who md Lydia Lewis then moved from Randolph Co, NC; to Clark Co, IN; to Lawrence Co, IN; and finally to Clay Co, IL, had NO middle name. The parents attached here to him are not correct. I have a copy of William's father's will from Randolph Co. NC. I have a copy of the deed when Wm(son) bought land from WM(father). I have a copy of the deed when WM(son) sold the land in 1808 prior to moving to IN.
Wm(Lydia) was an Indiana Territorial Magistrate and later elected to the Indiana Legislature.
No where in the bigraphical does it list any connection to SC or Tenn.
