Graveside services for George William Bruce, 40, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, in the Jimtown Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Harris officiating. Dutch Knowles presented the eulogy.
Mr. Bruce was born May 9, 1962, in Wilson, the son of Herman and Virginia. He died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Marietta. He had been a resident of Love County most of his life. Survivors include his parents, Herman and Virginia; a brother, Buddy; three sisters, Betty, Gracie, and Robin; and his grandmother, Audry Oliphant of Gainesville.
Mr. Bruce was preceded in death by his grandfather. Milton Bynum Oliphant
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
Cause of death: George had COPD and died peacfully in his sleep.
