George Henry Haag, 95, of Cullom died at 7:30 a.m. Monday (June 16, 1997) at OSF Saint James Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1901, in Sullivan Township, Livingston County. Mr. Haag farmed until age 50 when he retired from farming. From 1953 to 1966 he sold animal feed for Emington Grain Co. before he retired in 1966.
He was a member of Cullom United Methodist Church. He was director of the Co-op Grain Co., Cullom; a member of the Farm Bureau; and a former member of the Pontiac Moose Lodge.
He received 10 cents a day for starting the fire and sweeping the floor at Lamb School as his first job.
George is my first cousin twice removed.
