George Henry Haag
CULLOM - George Henry Haag, 95, of Cullom died at 7:30 a.m. Monday (June 16, 1997) at OSF Saint James Hospital, Pontiac.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cullom United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Louise Haxton officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Cullom. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or the Livingston County Public Health Department Cancer Fund.
He was born Nov. 10, 1901, in Sullivan Township, Livingston County. Mr. Haag farmed until age 50 when he retired from farming. From 1953 to 1966 he sold animal feed for Emington Grain Co. before he retired in 1966.
He was a member of Cullom United Methodist Church. He was director of the Co-op Grain Co., Cullom; a member of the Farm Bureau; and a former member of the Pontiac Moose Lodge.
He received 10 cents a day for starting the fire and sweeping the floor at Lamb School as his first job.
