CHAPMAN –ELEANOR JENNINGS, 76, of troy, Pa., died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. She was born Dec. 20, 1927 in Powell, Pa., the daughter of Ralph and Lavina Chapman. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Parish and West Burlington Grange. Eleanor enjoyed cooking which she shared by cooking for the residents of the Bradford County Manor. In addition to her mother, Eleanor is survived by her children; Harry Jennings of Tampa, Fla., and Evelyn and Dan Updike of Hamlin, N.Y., four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Kenneth and Jane Chapman, John and Mary Jane Chapman, Victor and Pat Chapman, all of Columbia Cross Roads, and Dean and Beverly Chapman of Cobleskill, N.Y., sister, Joyce and Dick Bradford of Mainesburg. Her husband, Raymond Jennings, who died in 1986, and her sisters, Louise Weed and Cleota "Coty" Furman, preceded Eleanor in death. Family and friends are invited to call at the Vickery Funeral Home Inc., 110 W. Main St., Troy, Pa., on Friday, Jan. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will follow immediately at 12 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Francis Montgomery officiating.
