Founty had been living in the Stella area for two years after living in the Bunker Hill Community for 79 years. She had been a member of the Bunker Hill Church, Mill Creek Baptist Church, Valley View Church, and currently Stella Baptist Church.

She was also a charter member of the Bunker Hill Community Club and a member of the McDonald County Extension Service.
Founty died Sunday at 5:11 p.m. at her daughter Alice Wright's home after an illness.
