FISH LAKE -- Services for Henry Borgen, 84, of Rt. 2, Walkerton, who died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday at LaPorte Hospital after a seven-week illness, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Haverstock Funeral Home. Rev. Verl Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today and until time of services at the funeral home.
Borgen was born on Jan. 7, 1896, in California. He lived in this area since 1957, moving from Chicago. He was a retired carpenter. On Oct. 9, 1948, in Chicago, he married Helen Gray, who survives. Other survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Anne Primm of Napa, Calif., Mrs. Ryle Perkins of Comptonville, Calif., Mrs. Donald (Linda) Renfro of Rolling Prairie, Mrs. Dennis (Mary) Johnson of LaPorte, Mrs. Talmadge (Barbara) Tanksley of Fish Lake and Mrs. Robert (Martha) Bandy of Hammond; three sons, William Borgen of Pinole, Calif., Ernest Rouskowsky of Grand Haven, Mich., and Dustin Gray of Michigan City; 28 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Chris Borgen of Louisville, Ky.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 13 of Chicago.
