La Crosse -- Hilda Mazouch, 91, of La Crosse, died Aug. 10 at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in La Crosse. She was born Feb. 5, 1914, in rural Rush County, the daughter of John L. and Catherine (Weber) Herrman.

She married Paul Mazouch in November 1943 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Timken. He died Sept. 17, 1984.

A homemaker, she was a lifelong resident of Rush County. Mrs. Mazouch was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse, of St. Ann's Altar Society, Timken, and was a church eucharistic minister for many years.

Survivors include a brother, Felix Herrman of Liebenthal; three sisters, Isabel Befort of Great Bend and Johanna Herrman and Frances Basgall, both of La Crosse; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry J. Herrman and Jerome "Jim" Herrman, and two sisters, Louise Noller and Lorene Kuhn.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse, with the Rev. Charles Mazouch officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Timken. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the family receiving friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. A vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends also may call from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at the church.
