LOUIS KASISKE
---Louis William Kasiske of La Plata, died in a hospital in Burlington, Iowa Yesterday.
---He was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin September 11, 1870. His parents were Gottfried and Johanna Kasiske.
---He was married October 8, 1902 to Hattie Bertram. His wife died July 10, 1943 and one daughter Mae Louise, died July 9, 1933.
---Surviving are his children, Miss Pearl Kasiske of La Plata, Mrs. T. J. (Grace) Ashby of La Plata, Miss Bess Kasiske of Springfield, Illinois and Dr. Walter B. Kasiske of Keokuk, Iowa; a brother, Rev. Herman Kasiske of Burlington, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Engle of Burlington, Iowa; two grandsons and one granddaughter.
---Mr. Kasiske spent his younger days in Hancock, Illinois. Most of his life was spent in the Etna community, but for the last ten years he had lived in La Plata.
---He was active in the Methodist Church.
---His body was brought from Burlington to the Wilson Funeral Home in La Plata.
---Services will be in the Etna Methodist Church at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in the Etna Cemetery.

L.W. Kasiske, 82, Dies In Burlington Hospital Thursday
---Louis William Kasiske, 82, died suddenly last Thursday noon in the Burlington (Ia.) Hospital. He had undergone surgery on Tuesday and was considered in good condition when a circulatory block developed in the lung area.
---Kasiske was born Sept. 11, 1870 in Baraboo, Wis., the son of Gottfried and Johanna Schanermann Kasiske. He left home at an early age, moved to Illinois, where he joined the Methodist Church at Elvanston and then in 1890 moved to Scotland County, Missouri. The major part of his life was spent there.
---On October 8, 1902 he married Miss Hettie Bertram at Memphis. To this marriage were born four daughters, Pearl, Grace, Mae and Bess, and one son, Walter.
---Preceding him in death were his wife, Hettie, in 1943; one daughter, Mae Louise, in 1933, and one brother, Henry.
---In 1942, retiring from active farm work, Kasiske moved to a small farm east of La Plata.
---Surviving relatives include three daughters, Miss Pearl Kasiske, and Mrs. T. J. Ashby, both of La Plata, Miss Bess Kasiske of Springfield, Ill., a son, Dr. Walter Kasiske of Keokuk, Ia., one brother, Herman, and a sister, Amelia Engel, both of Burlington, Ia.
---At the time of his death Kasiske was a member of the La Plata Methodist Church.
---Funeral services were at the Etna Methodist Church in Scotland County Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. T. Quigley officiated, assisted by Rev. Dalhen of Etna. Pallbearers were J. D. Dull, Floyd Caokerham, Reuben Dieterich, Ed Mohr, Rudolph Dieterich and Ralph Welbourn. Burial was in the Etna Cemetery.
