Flossie M. Haynes , 95, died Saturday morning in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.

The funeral will be at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams , with the Rev. Leon E. Schilling officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the South Jefferson Rescue Squad.

She is survived by two grandsons, Dennis Taylor, Rodman, and David Taylor, Watertown; two granddaughters, Denise Roberts, Adams Center, and Debra Taylor, Adams , and five great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Taylor, died April 20, 1974. Two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Brown and Mrs. Myra Bundy, and two brothers, Floyd and George Thomas, also died previously.

She was born March 14, 1897, in Smithville, daughter of A. Wilson and Mattie Spencer Thomas. She attended local schools.

She married Carl P. Haynes of Watertown on Dec. 24, 1912, at the town of Adams clerk's office. The couple lived in the town of Watertown for several years before moving to Adams Center in 1921.

Mr. Haynes died April 9, 1956.

Mrs. Haynes was employed as a bookkeeper for Pierrepont Manor Milk Plant for 30 years. For several years she was employed as a cook for Gould's Restaurant, Adams , which was owned by her daughter and son-in-law. She was later worked at Bub's Restaurant, Adams , as a cook.

Mrs. Haynes was a founding member of the Adams Center Fire Department Women's Auxiliary and a member of the Home Craft Club. She was a member of the Goodwill Class, the Adams Center Senior Citizens, the Star Grange and the United Methodist Women of Sulphur Springs.
