Son of William Guy Ellis & wife Bonnie.
ANDERSON: James "Willard" Ellis, 77, died March 6, 1995, at St. Vincents Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Shawneetown, Ill; and lived in Anderson for 57 years. He was a terminal manger for area trucking businesses. He spent many years with Ellis Trucking and retired in 1981 from Brada Miller. Then, he was an office manager for Sunnie Lane. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Anderson Traffic Club.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as Staff Sergeant and Gunnery.
Survivors include his wife Iona (Baugh) Ellis; three sos, Jim Ellis of Noblesville, Greg Ellis of Alexandria and Bruce Ellis of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara Duncan of Bowling Green, Ky, and Marilyn Bondurant of Andrews, S.C.; nine grandchildren, James Elis, Kathryn Ellis, Jayke Ellis, Mitchell Ellis, Keli Ellis, Rachel Duncan, Troy Bondurant, Tammy Faber and Todd Bondurant; a brother Harvey Ellis of Peoria, Ill.; and three aunts, Marie Bradley of Spencer, Nell Bradley and Peg Bradley.
He was preceded by death by a daughter, Bonnie Ellis, in 1979.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth King officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park.
