Born in Vigo County, Ind. daughter of Joseph Enoch Baugh & Ethel Mary Horrall, died Bethal, Ohio of Cancer (as did her parents, brothers Herschel Baugh & Merland Baugh and sisters, Wanda Benefiel & Irene Fletcher.
She married July 24, 1941 William Ousley Wood, mother of Lettie and Cheryl. Aunt Vivian was truly a unique woman, she was loved and respected by all who knew her. A Christian woman who raised her daughters with respect, honesty, love for Christ and his people. In those last years of struggling with cancer, she taught the people around her what dying gracefully was, she accepted that those last years were her duty to bring others to the Lord. She never allowed people to feel sorry for her or help her, she always kept a cheerful smile, never showed the pain that she was suffering or questioned Why this was happening to her. She put her life faithfully into the hands of the Lord.
THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF MY AUNT VIVIAN,
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when my life is done.
