Mary Loretta Williams Agan, 45, of Rt. 2, Newton, a lifelong resident of Newton, died of cancer Monday afternoon, Sept. 29, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. E. William Kaska, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Cremation will follow services.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors are her husband, Marvin; four sons, Douglas Williams Jr. of San Antonio, Tex., Rodney Williams of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Clinton Allen Williams and Patrick Freeman Williams, both of Newton; a grandson; two sisters, Theresa Claude Hauge of Tyler, Tex., and Sister Camillus Healy of Africa; a brother, Father Cletus Healy of Milwaukee, Wis.; and her mother, Mildred Healy of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Healy, a son, Tracy Dion Williams in 1976, a daughter, Lucinda Marie Williams in infancy, three brothers, Paul, Joe and Tommy, and a sister, Juanita.
Mrs. Agan has been employed at the Maytag Co. and the Vernon Co.
The daughter of John and Mildred Saddler Healy, she was born May 19, 1941 in Newton and was educated at Ottumwa Heights Academy.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
