R. C. Burns, 80, died Wednesday, April 3, 1996 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born November 1, 1915 in Washington Co., he was the son of the late George Worth Burns and Mahala Durr. He was a retired farmer, an army veteran of World War II and a member of DAV and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Washington County. Survivors include: his wife, Hattie Isham Burns, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Clyde Burns and John Alvie Burns, both of Washington County; several nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Burns were held Saturday, April 6, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Fox officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
