Charles W. Burns
Funeral mass for Charles W. Burns, 77, of Kosciusko were held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Therese's Catholic Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Burns was a veteran serving 22 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer with service in Vietnam. He was employed 12 years as manager of the Grey Hound Corporation. He had lived in Kosciusko for the past 12 years where he was a communicant of St. Therese's Catholic Church.
He was born in Ethel, son of Thomas Houston and Hattie Rogers Burns. He died June 21, 2005 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Burns of Kosciusko; one daughter, Pam Dunkelberger and husband David of London, Ohio; five sons, Charles W. Burns Jr. and wife Mari of St. Paul, Minn., Thomas L. Burns and wife Carla of Mobile, James W. Burns and wife Bonnie of Conroe, Texas, Timothy W. Burns and wife Pam of Chicago and Warren T. Burns and wife Caroline of Santa Fe, N.M.; two sisters, Ila Wasson of Winona and Patsy Brown of Ogden, Utah; one brother, Claude Burns of Jacksonville, N.C.; 22 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jim Burns, Tim Burns, Tom Burns, Warren Burns, Dave Dunkelberger, Chucky Burns III.
Honorary pallbearers were James Riley, Adams Dunkelberger, Horace Tavares, Aaron Dunkelberger.
Memorials may be made to St. Therese's Catholic Church.
