In 1895, he commissioned the Daniel Burnham and Company to build the 20 story, 275 foot tall Fisher Building in the loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. Completed in 1896, the landmark Fisher Building is the oldest 20 story building in Chicago that has not been demolished.
