Frank Bernard Korgal Jr.

passed away on October 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Korgal was born on August 27, 1928 to the late Frank B. And Agnes (Ostrowski) Korgal Sr., in Belleville. Frank is survived by his loving wife of more than 63 years Patricia (Horton) Korgal, daughter: Rosemary (Jack) Loria, son: Richard Korgal, grandson: Michael (Jennifer) Loria, Jaclyn (Ken) Floro, 5 great-grandchildren: Vincent, Anthony, Sophia Floro and Elizabeth, Katherine Loria. He also leaves behind 2 sisters; Geraldine (Ken) Fuller, Pat (Bill) Thomas, one brother: Robert (Susan) Pawlowski and a host of nieces & nephews. Mr. Korgal was preceded by Step-Father; Edward Pawlowski, one brother: Edward Korgal, 2 sisters; Virginia Krakowiak and Eleanor Rejman. He graduated from BHS in 1946 and remained a lifelong resident of the area and passed at the Spencer Street home which he built for his family. Frank was also a lifelong member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where he was an usher and past member of the Men's Club. Mr. Korgal worked as a home delivery milkman for Lunde's Dairy in his early years, then part time at Stabnau's Sinclair Gas Station, he also worked for American Airlines from 1965-1992. Some of his hobbies included wood yard craft making the likes of such things as Snowmen, pumpkins, ghosts and goblins. Frank also had a passion for gardening, starting from seed and providing many flowers and vegetables for family and friends. The family will receive guests on Monday 5-8 PM and Tuesday 1-8 PM with a 7 PM scripture service at the David C. Brown Funeral Home. The Catholic Mass will begin at 11: AM Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the family receiving guests at the church one hour prior to the start. Burial will be at Michigan Memorial Park. Donations can be made in memory of Mr. Korgal to the Arbor Hospice or St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
