Frank's original birth name was Ladislao Jacinto and sometimes his family would call him Isaias so he went by both names.
Although he changed his name to Frank Rodriguez, He always signed his cards and letters to his parents with his birth name Ladislao C. Jacinto (C for Carrillo his mother's maiden name)
Frank had one sister, Guadalupe Jacinto Olvera and one brother, Jesse Jacinto.

Frank Rodriguez was dear uncle to Rita Olvera Sanchez, Maria Estefana Olvera, Jose Nieves Olvera Jr.

My Uncle Frank was in the Army serving in the European Theater during World War II while his brother, Jesse was serving in the Pacific Theater. The war ended in 1945 but my uncles didn't get home from the war until January of 1946.
I always remember my Mom saying they didn't take the Christmas tree down until the end of January when her brothers came home.

The following song is one my uncles used to sing, it reminded them of a period when they lived in Mexico.

"Camino De Guanajuato"

No vale nada la vida
La vida no vale nada
Comienza casi llorando
Y asi llorando se acaba
Por eso es que en este mundo
La vida no vale nada

Bonito Leon Guanajuato
Su feria con su jugada
Alli se apuesta la vida
Y se respeta al que gana
Alli en mi Leon Guanajuato
La vida no vale nada

Camino de Guanajuato
Que pasas por tantos pueblos
No pases por Salamanca
Que ahi mi hiere el recuerdo
Vete rodeando veredas
No pases porque me muero

El Cristo de la montaņa
Del cerro del Cubilete
Consuelo do los que sufren
Adoracion de las gentes
El Cristo de la montaņa
Del cerro del Cubilete

Camino de Santa Rosa
La sierra de Guanajuato
Alli nomas tras lomita
Se ve Dolores Hidalgo
Yo alli me quedo paisano
Alli es mi pueblo adorado
