Jesse Carrillo "Jess, Chuy" Jacinto
Birth: Jul. 2, 1910
Death: Jan. 6, 1971
Chicago
Cook County
Illinois, USA

Original name: Jesus Carrillo Jacinto

Jesse was the son of Inocencia (a.k.a Chenchita) Carrillo Jacinto and Patricio Jacinto
Grandson of Rita Camargo Carrillo and Alejo Carrillo
Grandson of Francisca Vazquez Jacinto and Victor Jacinto.

Jesse had one sister, Guadalupe Jacinto Olvera and one brother, Ladislao "Isaias" Jacinto(he later changed his name to Frank Rodriguez.

Jesse Jacinto married Marie Febbo, his brother's sister-in-law (first time); they did not have any children.
Jesse Jacinto married Ramona Olvera, my father's sister (second time); Jesse Jacinto and Ramona Olvera did not have any children together but Ramona had a son Alfred Rivera by a previous marriage.

Jesse Jacinto was uncle to Angeline Alma Rodriguez Peebles, Rita Olvera Sanchez, Maria Estefana Olvera, Jose Nieves Olvera Jr., Jimmy Arreguin, Ruben Rodriguez, Suzanne Rodriguez Garcia, Elizabeth Rodriguez Alvarez, Anna Marie Rodriguez Olloqui, Victor Jesse Rodriguez, and Dolores Ramona Rodriguez Velez.

My Uncle Jesse never had any children so my Mom's kids and my Uncle Frank's kids were his kids. He used to take us on many outings. I guess he "enjoyed our company", imagine that!

My Uncle Jesse was in the Army serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II, while his brother, my Uncle Frank served in the European Theater. The war ended in 1945 but my uncles didn't come home from the war until January of 1946.

I always remember my Mom saying they didn't take the Christmas tree down until the end of January when her brothers came home.

One of my Uncle Jesse's favorite songs:
Author: Jose Alfredo Jimenez

Ella
Me canse de rogarle
Me canse de decirle
Que yo sín ella
De pena muero

Ya no quiso escucharme
Si sus labios se abrieron
Fue pa' decirme
Ya no te quiero

Yo senti que mi vida
Se perdia en un abismo
Profundo y negro
Como mi suerte

Quise hallar el olvido
Al estilo Jalisco
Pero aquellos mariachis
Y aquel tequila
Me hicieron llorar

Me canse de rogarle
Con el llanto en mis ojos
Alse mi copa
Y brinde con ella

No podia despreciarme
Era el ultimo brindis
De un bohemio
Con una reina

Los mariachis callaron
De mis manos sín fuerza
Cayo mi copa
Sín darme cuenta

Ella quiso quedarse
Cuando vio mi tristeza
Pero ya estaba escrito
Que aquella noche
Perdiera su amor
