WINNEBAGO - Linda G. Andersen, 58, of Winnebago died at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in Rockford Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born Jan. 22, 1948, in Rockford, the daughter of Clinton and Edna Lewis Royster. Graduated from Winnebago High School, class of 1966. Married Burdette Andersen, Aug. 28, 1980. Employed by AMCORE Bank for 25 years. Active member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Linda always had a smile to give out. She loved to entertain family and friends in her country barn. Her grandkids and mother were a huge part of Linda's life. Survivors include husband, Burdette, of Winnebago; son, Lance (Susan) Blackshear of Concord, N.C.; grandchildren, Anna and Royce Blackshear; mother, Edna Royster of Rockford; brother, Joe (Lois) Fulkerson of Belvidere; sister, Betty (Alan "Curley") Warr of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Clinton Royster.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with Pastor Mark Helge officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church, 4141 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61101, or Lutheran Fund for World Relief for Katrina Victims.
