James Bassett Jr., 58, Madison (Mo.) died at Community Hospital at Moberly on Sunday.
He was a railroad laborer, and was born on April 27, 1915, at Madison, the son of Willard and Rosie Elizabeth Bassett.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Phyllis) Williams, Madison; one brother, Thomas Bassett, Mexico; and one sister, Mrs. Prince Jones of Washington, D.C.
He was a member of the Second Christian Church at Madison.
