LAFAYETTE—Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29,1998, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Catholic Church for Mary F. Devillier, the former Mary Fuller, 50, who died at 6:42 p.m. Saturday Dec. 26, 1998, at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana.
Interment was in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The Rev. Robie Robichaux, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, celebrated the funeral Mass and conducted the services. Jan Judice, accompanied on the organ by Deborah Duhon, sang "Amazing Grace," "Ave Maria," "On Eagles' Wings" and "We Walk By Faith."
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Roy Deviller of Lafayette; one daughter, Cynthia Renee Devillier of Lafayette; her father, Edward Thomas Norton Sr. of Monroe; two sisters, Susan Elizabeth McFarlin of Raleigh, N.C., and Catherine Dewana Wilkerson of Tulsa, Okla.; and four brothers, Edward Thomas Norton Jr. of Alexandria, Joseph Patrick Norton, James Fitzgerald Norton and John Paul Norton, all of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A native of Monroe, Mrs. Devillier was a resident of Lafayette since 1985. She was the daughter of the late Loyd Fuller, a native of Eros, and the former Dorothy Merrel, a native of Forest, Miss.
Mrs. Devillier was co-owner of Roy's Fun Food and was previously the owner of Maxv's Cards & Gifts. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Community where she served in the ministry of the sick and the RCIA program. She was also a member of the Thomas Park Tennis League.
Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette was in charge of arrangements.
