Floyd Sidlo's parents were Edward and Gladys McIntosh Sidlo. They were married in November of 1921. According to the SS Death Index, Floyd was born November 19, 1922 and died October 21, 1993. He married Florence "Frances" Berns McNair in December of 1977.
Floyd enlisted in the United States Army May 4, 1945 in Fort Levenworth, Kansas and was a general clerk. He was discharged a Staff Sergeant, 2nd Major Port, from the Army at Camp Beale, California, the 10th of December, 1946. He qualified as MM M1 rifle and holds the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He left the States the 17th of October, 1945 for the Pacific Theater of war and arrived at his destination the 29th of October, 1945. In October, 1946, on the 20th, he began his return trip to the States, arriving here the 29th of that month.
