Birth: 1920
Georgia, USA
Death: 1946
Georgia, USA

Uncle James was a celebrated WWII war hero, who fought bravely in Saipan and Okinawa Japan. Loved by many, he carried his favorite nephew Eugene Calvin Davenport to school, on his shoulders. He was a good son, and never met a stranger. Uncle James often walked by the river to fish and play, with his cousins and nephews.

He met his untimely death when his spouse, Pauline Hadley, shot him to death on his front porch after returning from the war. Police refused to investigate or prosecute, because he was not valued as a human being. Mere words cannot express our family's hurt over his murder. God rest his soul.
