George Marston Atwood
Birth: Sep. 11, 1817
Death: May 22, 1889

Civil War Union Army Officer. Served in the Union Army as Colonel and commander of the 24th Maine Volunteer Infantry, a 10-month enlistment regiment. He was mustered into service on October 16, 1862, and honorably mustered out on August 25, 1863.
